Welcome to Tea Time with kkao Co. where we get to know our favourite foodies, health & wellness gurus, ethical & sustainability advocates, inspirational souls and all-round cacao lovers.
This week, we sat down for a cuppa with Lucy E. Cousins, founder of Sydney fitness guide URBANSWEAT. So brew a pot of your favourite chocolate tea and join us!

Lucy is the founder of Sydney fitness guide, URBANSWEAT. She is the former editor of Women’s Fitness, CLEO and DOLLY magazines, and is obsessed with all things health and fitness. You’ll generally find her at a yoga or spin class, or walking the back streets of Sydney’s Inner West with her dog, Luca.

Go-to morning beverage?
Coffee and rooibos tea (with almond and coconut milk)

What inspires you?
Collaborations with energetic people, travelling, seeing my dog dream…

What’s your philosophy when it comes to healthy living?
Small healthy choices every day and no guilt treatments.

The one healthy treat you can’t live without?
I love apples covered in peanut butter!

How do you relax and spend your ‘me’ time?
I love hiking, talking long walks, and binge-watching Netflix :)

Where’s your ideal coffee date?
A takeaway coffee at Blackwattle Bay – lovely parks, running tracks and views of the city.

Is it OK to eat chocolate for breakfast?
See my philosophy above! No guilt treatments… if you eat chocolate for breakfast, enjoy it, but make sure you make up for it the rest of the day with healthy choices and do it without having the guilts.

Favourite foodie or health & wellness instagram accounts?
I love Unit Nine (@unit_nine) their fitness gear is next level, Libby Babet is always full of energy and makes we want to workout, and Lola Berry (@yummololaberry) makes me want to eat healthier.

Dark or milk chocolate?
Dark, with orange in it.

What’s your favourite recipe that uses cacao?
Cacao hot chocolate, definitely.

One mantra you live by
Take the time to enjoy all the good things in your life whenever you can. Smile in the sunshine, be grateful of your friends and family, and respect what your body does for you.
