What are Cacao Bean Husks?
Cacao husks are the fibrous outer shell of the cacao bean. During the chocolate making processes, the harvested beans are fermented and dried, then winnowed to crack the shell and separate it from the nibs.
How do I make Cacao Tea?
Steep 2 teaspoons of cacao tea in 1 cup of boiling water for 5-7 minutes (or until desired strength). We recommend adding 1/2 teaspoon of coconut sugar or preferred sweetener for a true chocolate flavour. Cacao tea can be enjoyed hot or cold, or with your milk of choice.

Theobromine is a mild, naturally occurring stimulant similar to caffeine with a gentle, slow-release effect that gives you a little pick-me-up and keep you feeling good for longer.

No, our teas contain 100% cacao bean husk. There are no additives, sugar or preservatives.

All of our cacao teas are sustainable and have been ethically sourced from suppliers trading directly with cacao farmers to ensure the highest quality cacao, and also cutting out the middle man so farmers are paid beyond fair trade prices. This not only improves the farmers' livelihood, but also enables them to continue investing in higher quality equipment resulting in the best quality cacao.
In addition to this, we source only organically farmed and where possible, certified organic cacao that is good for the environment, and food for you.
There are many cacao growing regions in the world and our teas come from a range of regions including Vietnam, Mexico and Dominican Republic.

This is why we source from suppliers with direct relationships wit the growers who respect the environment, and produce the best quality organically farmed cacao.
